Terms of Use
Version 2 · 3 October 2026
This is a translation. The Portuguese version (Termos de Utilização) is the one that applies.
These terms govern the use of the TVDE Driver app and the tvdedriver.pt site, provided by Libelinha Lilaz, Lda., Portuguese company number (NIPC) 519531400 («we»). By creating an account and accepting these terms in the app, you agree to be bound by them. How we process your data is described in the Privacy Policy.
1. What the app is
TVDE Driver is a tool for TVDE (ride-hailing) drivers to manage their own work. Among other things, it lets you:
- record earnings from each platform, expenses and extra income, and see your balance and reports;
- set a weekly goal and follow it;
- store your documents and your vehicle's, and be warned before they expire;
- record working time on a time clock and get the PDF of your working-time record;
- ask support for help.
We are not a transport platform, we are not a party to the services you provide, and we have no relationship with the TVDE platforms (Uber, Bolt and others) or with the company you work through.
2. Who can use it
- Adults who work, or are preparing to work, as TVDE drivers.
- Your account is personal: do not share it or use it on someone else's behalf.
- The data and documents you upload must be true and yours (or of the vehicle you drive).
3. It is free
The app is free. If paid features are ever introduced, they will be announced beforehand and you will never be charged without expressly accepting it.
4. Amounts are for your own management
- Earnings are the amounts you enter, as you see them in each platform's app.
- The app shows amounts excluding VAT. To do so it separates the VAT included in the amount at the platform's rate (6% for passenger transport), as a simplification — without distinguishing services with another rate (deliveries, for example, are at 23%).
- The app is not accounting or invoicing software and does not replace your accountant. Your tax and accounting obligations remain yours.
5. The time clock and working-time record
The time clock, the alerts and the working-time PDF are an aid to comply with the working-time limits for TVDE drivers:
| Limit | Value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| In any 24-hour period | 10 hours | Law 45/2018, art. 13(1) |
| In a single week | 60 hours, overtime included | Decree-Law 84/2026, art. 21 |
| Average over four months | 48 hours per week | Decree-Law 84/2026, art. 21 |
- The app warns you at 9 hours in any 24, one hour before the limit, and at 55 hours in the week.
- The record is only as accurate as what you enter. Times added or corrected after the fact are flagged in the PDF.
- The driver remains responsible for complying with the limits and for keeping whatever record the law or the company they work through requires. We do not guarantee that the PDF replaces any other means of record, and we are not liable for fines or penalties.
6. Documents and AI reading
- The documents you upload are your responsibility: they must be true, yours and up to date.
- Nobody on our side approves or validates your documents. Keeping them in the app does not replace having them valid and with you when the law requires.
- Automatic AI reading can make mistakes. What is read is shown to you as a suggestion: check it before saving.
- Expiry alerts are an aid. If an alert does not arrive (for example, with notifications turned off), keeping your documents valid is still your responsibility.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use the app for unlawful purposes, upload another person's documents without authorisation, enter false data, try to access other people's accounts or data, or disrupt the service.
8. Account suspension
We may suspend an account in case of breach of these terms, false documents or data, abusive use, or a risk to the security of the service or of others. A suspended account cannot use the app and is directed to hello@tvdedriver.pt, where we explain the reason, unless the law does not allow it. We may reactivate it once the reason no longer applies.
9. Closing your account
- You can close your account whenever you want, in the app itself.
- You have 30 days to change your mind. After that access is blocked, and the data is deleted 1 year later, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
- Before closing, you can export your records and documents on the «My records» screen.
10. Availability and liability
- The app is free and provided as is. We make reasonable efforts for it to work well and be available, but do not guarantee it will work without interruptions or errors.
- We recommend exporting your records regularly.
- We are not liable for loss of profits or indirect damage, or for decisions made based on the app's amounts, alerts or readings.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded, namely for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
11. Intellectual property
The app, the site, the TVDE Driver brand and the software belong to us or our licensors. The data and documents you upload are yours; we use them only to provide you the service.
12. Changes to these terms
Each version has a number and a date, and is recorded in the history below. When a change is substantial, the app will ask you to accept the terms again the next time you sign in, with a sentence saying what changed. If you do not agree, you can close your account.
The Portuguese version is the one that applies; this English version is a translation.
13. Complaints and disputes
- Write to us first at hello@tvdedriver.pt.
- You can file a complaint in the Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico).
- If you are a consumer, you can turn to an alternative consumer dispute resolution body, such as CNIACC — Centro Nacional de Informação e Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo (www.cniacc.pt). The full list is on the Consumer Portal (www.consumidor.gov.pt).
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any dispute falls under the courts of the district of the registered office of Libelinha Lilaz, Lda., without prejudice to rules that, as a consumer, give you the right to another court.
